Hi, I’m Blake. Writing a bio of myself feels awkward and not at all natural, like I have to turn in a report before I’ve finished it.

Here’s a brief version of what I’ve got so far:

I have several familiar labels – wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend – and the opportunity to experience a life that includes each of them.

I am fascinated with astrology, and meet with clients to discuss their natal charts and solar return charts. I believe astrology is one among many tools that are here to help us learn more about who we are and why we do the things we do. I’m also a yoga instructor and a writer.

I do these things because I want to help people open up to themselves and learn how to accept with compassion what they find, and continue on their personal path more aware so that our collective path evolves, too. As for myself, I also want greater compassion, growth, and understanding that benefit us all. Reading for others has a beautiful way of coming full circle and I’ve found that helping others sends ripples to the right places, even if it the wake rocks some boats.

Mostly for me, life seems to vacillate between the mundane, the painful, and the inspiring; throughout are woven threads of work and stillness.

I’m still learning to let go. I believe that’s how it is, to varying degrees, for a lot of us on this human ride.

If I had to condense my bio to one word, it would be grateful.

That’s the most anyone could know about me that matters.
