Hi, I’m Blake. Writing a bio of myself feels awkward and not at all natural, like I have to turn in a report before I’ve finished it. Here’s a brief version of what I’ve got so far:

I have several common labels – wife, mother, daughter, sister, friend – and the opportunity to experience a life that includes each of them. I’m fascinated with astrology and I meet with clients to discuss their natal charts and solar return charts. I believe astrology is one among many tools that help us learn more about who we are and why we do the things we do. I’m also a yoga instructor and a writer. My motivation is to help people open up to themselves and learn how to accept with truthfulness and compassion what they find so they may continue on their personal paths with more awareness and so that our collective path can evolve, too.

My life vacillates between the mundane, the beautiful, the painful, and the inspiring. Throughout all of it threads of work and stillness are woven and I hope the finished tapestry turns out well. I’m still learning to let go of things I no longer need and be open to those I do. I believe that’s how it is, to varying degrees, for a lot of us on this human ride.

If I had to condense my bio to one word, it would be grateful. That’s the most anyone could know about me that matters.
